The Uttar Pradesh government said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s four-day visit to Singapore and Japan delivered investment, technology and partnership gains. The government statement said Adityanath signed MoUs worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore. It also said the state received investment proposals totalling Rs 2.5 lakh crore during the tour.

According to the statement, the visit supported Uttar Pradesh’s aim of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2029-30. The statement said business leaders described Uttar Pradesh as a dream destination for investment. The government linked the outcomes to global interest in the state’s policies, law and order, and infrastructure.
Uttar Pradesh investment MoUs and Japan business meetings
During the Japan leg, MoUs were signed with Kubota Corporation and Japan Aviation Electronics Industry. Agreements also included Spark Minda in collaboration with Toyo Denso. Nagase & Co was also among the companies signing MoUs, the statement said. It added that these ties focused on industry and technology cooperation.
The statement said business-to-government meetings in Japan included Suzuki Motor Corporation and Honda Cars India Ltd. Other participants were Konoike Transport Co Ltd and Mitsui & Co Ltd. Rapidus Corporation, Marubeni Corporation, and Sumitomo Realty & Development Co Ltd also joined. MUFG Bank participated as well.
Uttar Pradesh investment focus sectors and Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence
The government said proposed investments covered agricultural machinery and automobile OEM and components. It also listed auto R&D, semiconductors, and data centres. Other areas were green hydrogen, power-to-gas, and compressed bio-gas. Electronics system design and manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing also featured.
It said a Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence will be set up with the University of Yamanashi. Partners also include Yamanashi Hydrogen Company, IIT Kanpur, and Harcourt Butler Technical University. IIT BHU and Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology were also named. The statement linked the plan to clean energy research and industry needs.
Uttar Pradesh industrial plans including Japan City and Invest UP Japan Desk
In the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority area, a Japan City will be developed over 500 acres. The statement said the project will offer a specialised industrial ecosystem for Japanese companies. It also said dedicated auto clusters and R&D facilities will be set up. These will support OEMs and component manufacturers.
The statement added that the Japan Desk at Invest UP will be further strengthened. It said this will happen under direct monitoring of the Chief Ministers Office. The government presented this as part of improving support for Japanese investors. It also linked it to faster project coordination within the state.
Uttar Pradesh technology discussions: Maglev, FANUC, and MSME upgrades
The chief minister visited the L0 Series Maglev train station and travelled on a high-speed train. The statement said Adityanath explored cooperation options in advanced transport technologies. It also said Adityanath inspected FANUC Corporation’s industrial robotics and factory automation plant. FANUC expressed interest in investing in Uttar Pradesh.
The statement said FANUC also showed interest in supporting technological upgradation in the MSME sector. The government linked this to factory modernisation and automation needs. It also said the visit included discussions around industrial technology transfer. The statement did not provide a project timeline for these proposals.
Uttar Pradesh tourism and skills cooperation with Japan
On tourism, the statement said both sides agreed to link Uttar Pradesh’s Buddhist Circuit and Ramayana Circuit. The goal was to boost spiritual, cultural and heritage tourism. The statement said this could create opportunities in hospitality, infrastructure and services. It also said the discussions aimed to widen tourism-related cooperation.
Skill development initiatives aligned with Japanese industry needs will also be undertaken, the statement said. It included language training and technical training in the plans. The government said this would support workforce readiness for Japanese companies. The statement did not name specific training centres or target numbers.
Uttar Pradesh Singapore meetings and Noida International Airport plans
During the Singapore visit, the statement said discussions covered MRO, cargo hubs, and semiconductors. Data centres, logistics, skilling and fintech were also included. Adityanath met Singapore’s president, prime minister and deputy prime minister, it said. The aim was to improve industrial, technological and infrastructure collaboration.
Discussions also covered developing the Noida International Airport at Jewar as an MRO and cargo hub. The statement connected this to wider aviation and logistics planning. It said the outcomes signalled rising global confidence in Uttar Pradesh. The government said the deals and proposals would accelerate its one-trillion-dollar economy target.
