As part of the inspection program, a motor trolley inspection was undertaken from St. Thoma sMount to Velachery, enabling close observation of permanent way components, points and crossings, overhead equipment (OHE) installations and signaling arrangements.
Subsequently, high-speed trial runs were conducted using an AC-EMU (9-Car) rake on both U pand Down lines. The trials evaluated oscillation characteristics, braking performance, track geometry, signal visibility and system synchronization under operational conditions. Advanced Track Recording Systems (OMS-2000) were deployed during the trials to record and verify track parameters, says the release.
