Shares of ACME Solar Holdings Limited fell 4.03 per cent to ₹222.93 on the NSE on Wednesday, even as the Gurugram-based renewable energy company announced two significant operational developments over the past two days.
On March 3, the company disclosed that its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, has commissioned the second phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The phase covers 38 MW/82 MWh capacity, forming part of a larger 285 MW/600 MWh BESS project located at villages Sanwara and Mehar Nagar, Tehsil-Pokhran. The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for this phase has been set as March 5, 2026. This follows the first phase commissioning intimated on February 25, 2026.
A day earlier, on March 2, the company informed exchanges that another subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited, had executed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with State-run SJVN Limited. The contracts are for 300 MW and 150 MW respectively, aggregating to 450 MW under a Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) framework, at a tariff of ₹6.74 per unit. The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date is March 1, 2028, with a project tenure of 25 years thereafter. The deal is domestic in nature and does not involve any related-party transactions.
The stock opened at ₹227 on Wednesday, touched a high of ₹229.04, and slid to a low of ₹221.04 against a previous close of ₹232.28, suggesting the market was unmoved by the announcements.
