SBI Card Makes Revisions In Benefits & Redemption of Reward Points For These Cards Effective 1st April 2026

The Gurgaon, Haryana-based SBI Card, which was incorporated as SBI Cards and Payment Services Private Limited (SBICPSL), has revised the CASHBACK SBI Card’s benefits and modified the terms and conditions for redemption of reward points for multiple credit cards. Revision In The Benefits of CASHBACK SBI Card

The following changes will apply to your CASHBACK SBI Card starting on April 1, 2026.

Under the new structure, the total cashback a cardholder can earn within a single statement cycle will be capped at Rs 4,000. This maximum limit is divided equally between online and offline spending: cardholders can earn up to Rs 2,000 from online transactions at a rate of 5%, and up to Rs 2,000 from offline (POS) transactions at a rate of 1%.

“Cashback will not be applicable on spends at Digital Gaming Platforms/Merchants, Tolls and Government-related Transactions, in addition to existing exclusions,” SBI Card said in a statement.

“The Merchant Category Codes are defined by the Networks and are subject to change basis their discretion and such changes shall be implemented basis communication from the Networks without any requirement for intimation/information to the customers,” SBI Card further confirmed in a release.

SBI Card New Rules For Redemption of Reward Points

“W.e.f. 1 Apr’26, redemption of Reward Points for Statement Credit will be capped at 60,000 Reward Points per card per calendar month. Please note that the capping on redemption is applicable to all credit cards for which Reward Points can be redeemed as Statement Credit, except Air India SBI Signature Card, PhonePe SBI Card PURPLE and PhonePe SBI Card SELECT BLACK,” SBI Card has mentioned on its website.

“W.e.f. 1 Apr ’26, redemption of Reward Points for Statement Credit can be made only in multiples of 4,000 Points. This revision is applicable for all eligible credit cards except PhonePe SBI Card PURPLE and PhonePe SBI Card SELECT BLACK,” SBI Card has further mentioned on its official website.

For offers launched from 15 Jan 2026:

SBI Card has clarified that reward points forfeiture on cashback offers will be processed within 90 days of the cashback posting date and reward points forfeiture on instant discount offers will be processed within 120 days from the end of the offer month.

How To Redeem SBI Card Reward Points?

There are several methods to redeem reward points that you have earned on your credit card account. According to SBI Card, redemptions against physical products and gift vouchers may be made using the SBI Card mobile app or sbicard.com, while redemptions against cash can be made by contacting the official helpline number (1860 180 1290) or sending an email to sbicard.com.
