No Electricity for 8 Hours Today! BESCOM Announces Feb 25 Power Cut; Check Full List of Affected Areas Here

BESCOM has once again announced a scheduled power cut today to carry out line work. The city electricity outage on Feb 25 will affect residents in several villages under the Tumkur district, as per the official notice by the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited.

Power Cut Timing

According to BESCOM, the power cut today will be 8 hours long and will last from 10 am to 6 pm in areas falling under BESCOM. Rural Sub-Division-2. The disruption is part of planned maintenance aimed at strengthening electricity infrastructure in the region.

Areas Affected During BESCOM Power Outage

Power supply will remain suspended in all villages under the jurisdiction of the following Gram Panchayats:
Heddur
Sirivara
Ballagere
Niduvallu
Kanakuppe

Residents in surrounding areas connected to these Gram Panchayats are also likely to experience disruption during the scheduled hours, BESCOM stated in its notice.

Reason for the Power Cut Today

BESCOM stated that the outage is necessary due to link line work being undertaken in the Rural Sub-Division-2 limits. Such maintenance activities are typically carried out to improve reliability, prevent future faults, and ensure smoother power distribution.

Advisory to Consumers

The Assistant Executive Engineer has appealed to consumers to cooperate during the maintenance period. Residents and businesses are advised to plan their activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Power supply is expected to resume after 6 pm once the maintenance work is completed.

In separate news, BESCOM has informed consumers that electricity bill payment details are now available on the BESCOM Mitra app, which will make it easier for users to access their billing information anytime, anywhere.

BESCOM is encouraging all consumers to download the official BESCOM Mitra app and make use of its various services, which will improve customer convenience.

Through the app, users can check their latest electricity bill, view payment history, monitor billing and payment graphs, and access multiple consumer service options directly from their smartphones.

Consumers can also raise complaints and service requests through the platform without visiting the BESCOM office. One can download the BESCOM Mitra app from both the Play Store and the Apple App Store.
