Abhi Eggs to tap the Middle East and South-East Asian markets

Abhi Eggs, a Hyderabad-based eggs that transformed itself from a traditional poultry farm into a predominantly modern retailing farm, has said that it is exploring export opportunities in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, which is witnessing a growing demand for nutriionally-rich food products.

The company, which registered a turnover of ₹47.47 crore in 2024-25, is confident of closing the current financial year with a revenue of ₹100 crore.

“Since our inception, we have been doubling our revenue year-over-year. This growth is driven by our expansion into multiple cities and platforms. We didn’t have a full presence in North India until December 2024. Since then, we have significantly increased our footprint. Additionally, the rise of quick commerce platforms has greatly aided our growth,” S. V. V. Dora Reddy, Co-Founder of Abhi Eggs, told businessline.

“We are currently present in over 50 cities across India, covering 17 states and 3 Union Territories. We are confident that we will likely double our turnover again next year as we continue to gain ground in markets like NCR (National Capital Region), where our competitors have had a five-to-six-year head start,” he said.

“About 80 per cent of our sales come from e-commerce, specifically quick commerce platforms. The remaining 20% of our business comes from offline retail channels,” he said.

He said the company produced all of its eggs in its two farms, one each in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and distributes them to different cities.

After taking up an IT job, Dora secured a Group 1 job in the Andhra Pradesh government and resigned to join the poultry business.

He said Abhi Eggs managed its supply chain through a structured network of 4–5 fixed vendors across major cities and suburban markets to ensure reliability and consistency. Nearby cities and suburban markets are serviced within 10–14 hours, Kerala within 18–20 hours, Ahmedabad–Vadodara within 24 hours, and the NCR region within 30–35 hours.

“Given that eggs are perishable and require careful handling, we have invested significantly in strong, distance-optimised packaging to minimise transit damage. The egg damage levels remain extremely minimal at approximately 0.01 per cent,” he claimed.
