Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi got a new feather on his hat by becoming the first world leader to cross 100 million followers on Instagram as of February 25. This is a huge achievement for the PM as he is presently far ahead of his international peers in terms of Instagram Followers.

The Prime Minister, who joined Instagram in 2014, has now built a massive global audience over the past decade using the platform to communicate & to provide governance updates.

Not just Instagram, PM Modi has record followers across all other social channels. In July 2024 Modi surpassed 100 million followers on his X account.
